Content removal policy

Where our data comes from

Company Shark publishes information from the Companies House public register — the official UK record of registered companies. We cache and present that public data (company details, registered office, officers, filing history) to make it easier to find and read.

What we can do

• Correct a page where our cached copy is out of date or wrong (we'll refresh it from Companies House).
• Remove / de-index a company page from Company Shark and search engines on reasonable request.
• Action data-protection requests relating to personal data (for example, an officer's name) under UK GDPR.

What we can't do

Companies House is the source of record. We can remove information from our site, but the underlying data remains on the public Companies House register. To change or suppress data at source, you'll need to contact Companies House directly.

How to make a request

Use our contact form and choose “Content / data removal request”. Please include:

• the company number or a link to the page,
• what you'd like corrected or removed, and
• a brief reason (and your relationship to the company, if relevant).
