What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and enable core functionality like keeping you logged in.
Cookies we use
Company Shark uses a small number of cookies. Most are essential to running the Service; we also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns so we can improve the product. Our public company pages are ad-supported for visitors who are not paying subscribers, so on those pages our advertising partner Ezoic (and its vendors) may also set advertising cookies, subject to your consent. Signed-in paying subscribers are shown no ads and are not served advertising cookies.

Third-party cookies
The third-party cookies set on Company Shark are:
- Google Analytics 4 — sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies described above. We use Google Analytics solely to understand traffic patterns and improve the Service. IP anonymisation is enabled, advertising features are disabled, and the data is not linked to Google Ads. Google Privacy Policy. - Stripe — when you interact with the payment checkout, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and security. Governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.
- Ezoic and its advertising vendors — set advertising cookies on our public company pages, only for visitors who are not paying subscribers and only where you have consented. See the full vendor disclosure in Privacy Policy Section 7a and Ezoic's Privacy Policy.
Outside of the consent-gated advertising cookies described above (public pages, non-subscribers only), we do not use retargeting, social-media, or affiliate cookies, and paying subscribers are served no advertising cookies at all.
Opting out of Google Analytics
You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics in any of the following ways:
- Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Enable your browser's “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” setting.
- Block the
_gaand_ga_*cookies via your browser's cookie settings. - Use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Service — only the essential session cookie is required for login.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here's how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Please note: Blocking or deleting the session cookie (cs_session) will prevent you from logging in and using the Service. The remember-me cookie can be safely blocked if you prefer to log in manually each visit.
